What makes up a Flame Fractal?

Fractal Recipe

A Fractal recipe is comprised of a list of point transforms and a set of colors called a color gradient. The transforms determine the fractal image’s shapes, while the color gradient determines the colors of the fractal shapes.

The Triangle editor edits the point transforms. The Gradient editor edits the color values in the color gradient.

What makes a Flame Fractal?

A flame fractal has :
2 or more transforms, each with:

  1. pre-matrix (represented visually as a Triangle)
The matrix moves, expands/shrinks, and/or rotates each point in the point pool.
    weighted set of geometric variations
  2. Each variation warps the pool of points with a geometric pattern.
  3. post-matrix
The matrix moves, expands/shrinks, and/or rotates each point in the point pool.
  4. An optional final transforms
The final transform is applied to the point pool after the normal transform.
